Relationship with nearby kingdoms: Physignathus enjoys a decent relationship with the Republic of Duvain, sometimes going so far as to protect their ships in the waters within her territory. The high elves of Suvant idolize her as a spirit of the sea, where she spends almost all her time. Even the orcs of Clan Sprawn would give offerings to her before ocean voyages, as she is seen not only as the protector of sailors but also responsible for sea storms and hurricanes to them. Physignathus is not fond of undead, but rarely travels on land, where she feels she is weakened.

Physignathus is an ocean dragon, she is awkward on solid land but as swift and maneuverable as a dolphin in the water. Her wings (she can fly) act as excellent fins in the water, her tail is split into two, long and flat. Her skull is aerodynamic in that it is thin near her mouth, making her very fast in the water. She has both gills and lungs and can breath both under water and out of it. She is a potent warrior and a symbol of strength and protection.
